This is far and away the best campground in Fort Bragg. It is very well maintained and clean and quiet. There is a lot of vegetation and trees throughout most of the campground and a number of the spaces are fairly private. Cell service is sketchy at best and just seems to come and go while in the campground. Once back on the main road, service is usually fine. WiFi is available, but depends on the site you get as it does not seem to work in some sites. Previously, you could connect to the WiFi for a day without charge but on my last visit, that option was not available and the charges listed were for a month at a time. My main problems with this campground are the coin-operated showers, and the fact that you cannot request a particular site. I've had several that I really liked and some that were not so good (lack of room to extend awning, lack of privacy, etc.) and because you cannot request a certain site, it's kind of a roll of the dice as to whether you get one you like or not. Since I am usually looking primarily for privacy, I hate to drive all the way up and then get stuck with a site that has little privacy. Outside of that though, it is still the best deal in town for the amenities and overall ambiance.

This is definitely a campground geared toward kids and families. If you are looking for peace and quiet and/or privacy, this is not the place to go. If you are looking for a place that has ongoing activities and festivities and you don't mind the noise level, this is the place. The sites have little to no privacy and there is not much in the way of trees, etc. They have two nice fenced dog runs and things for the kids like banana bikes and a jump pad. The individual rates to use stuff is pretty steep, but they do offer a wristband and if you have active kids, will probably get your money's worth out of the wristband. Not close to town so make sure you bring everything you need. They do a have a store onsite and during the busy season, enough staff that you are almost tripping over them. Close to Santa Cruz and not too far from Monterey, both of which make nice day trips. Also close to the ocean/beach within just a few minutes drive. Free WiFi was nice although cell service was kind of sketchy.

This is a nice KOA to go to, especially if you have children, or don't mind kids and kid noise. The pull-through spaces are pretty easy access and the KOA is clean and well-maintained. The KOA is conveniently close to town, but feels like you are farther out of town, which is nice. Lots of activities geared toward families and kids. Only about a 45-minute drive to Fort Bragg and the ocean. The drive is beautiful, but it is about 30 miles on a curvy road so take motion-sickness meds if you get easily carsick. You can also ride the Skunk Train which is nice.

This campground offers easy pull-through spaces which is convenient. However, the campground is flat and open with no privacy between spaces at all. There are trees surrounding the campground but very little vegetation by the sites. Good cell service and close to town. If you are looking for easy access and set-up, this is a good campground. If you want privacy, there is little to be found here.
